Eucharistic Procession for Our Lady of Guadalupe

Father McShurley guided our Eucharistic Procession for the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on November 12 and created a tradition that will follow for many years. About 1300 students walked around the school campus and reflected upon Our Lady of Guadalupe by asking for her intercession on her feast day. Students were able to grow spiritually by reflecting upon the miracles of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the story of her and Juan Diego. After touring the school and reciting prayers, everyone gathered to the stadium field for a solemn Benediction, a blessing from Christ in the most holy sacrament. Our Lady of Guadalupe has represented unconditional love and protection throughout hundreds of years. After she had identified herself to Juan Diego on December 9, Our Lady asked him to build her a shrine on Tepeyac Hill, the very same place where Juan Diego encountered Our Lady for the first time. The shrine Juan Diego built, now known as the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, has allowed Our Lady to share her compassion and love throughout several generations of Christians.
